Modeling and Detection of Dynamic Position Sensor Offset Error in PMSM Drives

چکیده

Rotor position information obtained through a sensor is crucial for proper field-oriented control (FOC) of permanent magnet synchronous machine-based high dynamic energy conversion applications. In applications such as transportation and industrial, PMSM systems are subjected to harsh environmental conditions vibration, shock, thermal shock causing mechanical interfaces holding sensors fail, introducing errors the measurement. A offset error (DPSOE), being failure mode has potential degrade system torque output or more adversely, reverse machine that may cause catastrophic outcomes. This paper evaluates different DPSOE scenarios, presents an approach model analysis proposes two novel, robust detection methods drive systems. The proposed analytically proven supported by simulation experimental results under multiple operating proving robustness.
